Over the last two years, employers in our region have shared their concerns around retention, however, we quickly realized that a large number of employers didn't know the exact reasons employees left, nor the true economic impact of turnover to their company/agency.
Through our work with the Workforce Intelligence Network and five Michigan Works! Agencies, we now have a comprehensive understanding of the root causes of employee turnover and the potential gaps that exist in the development of career pathways for those with barriers to employment.
During this event, we plan to engage audience members (employers, elected officials, training providers) to have open dialog to learn how we can begin working on a plan to provide training and support to members of our region.
