This 8 week workshop series is designed for active young people who want to step into the circus spotlight! Erin will guide students through the creation of a short routine on the aerial silks, to be performed at the LIFT OFF student showcase on 4/28. Solo and group routine choreography will be taught by Erin, with creative input from the students, and then practiced each week leading up to the performance. We will also discuss appropriate costuming for aerial performances, energy management, and confidence building techniques, as well as learn proper warm ups and cool down stretching. If your super star is ready to shine on the silks, this is the class series for them!

PREREQ:
Students new to the Aviary must have a parent of legal guardian present on 3/7. The guardian does not have to stay for the duration of the lesson, but must be present to meet the instructor on the first day.

All student who wish to perform in the showcase must attend a minimum of 6 of these classes, as well as the mandatory dress rehearsal on 4/26.

Student absences cannot be made up in another class.

In the event of weather or instructor illness, the missed lesson will be rescheduled to the following Friday at the same time.
