~~~~~
ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Avid lyricist and “think piece” composer Chris DuPont hails from the quirky and eclectic Ypsilanti, Michigan, and is a seasoned veteran of the Midwest music scene. His hybrid finger-style approach to guitar-playing is a nod to classical minimalism, but sure to get you nodding your head too. Chris is influenced by a wide range of artists and composers from Philip Glass to Tycho, from James Taylor to Ryan Adams to Oh Wonder.
Chris’s newest work (Floodplains, debuting Fall 2019) is an enchanted tour of memory—how it fascinates, and how it is flawed. Retaining his contemplative outlook and characteristically moral center, Floodplains sees DuPont’s writing voice explode into maturity, resulting in an album that is challenging, uplifting, and continually unfolding with each listen.
Adam Plomaritas - His latest full length release, “The Hard Way”, was named #3 album of the year by Ann Arbor Radio’s John Bommarito. Adam Plomaritas presents an onslaught of tight, satisfying rock ‘n roll, tastefully seasoned with soul and blues. You might say that Mariah Carey, Michael McDonald, and Stevie Wonder all got eaten by a Telecaster-toting grizzly.
Born, raised, and residing in Ypsilanti, MI, Plomaritas has played the coffee house/bar scene for almost a decade. He has taken the stage with some of the region’s favorite acts: Theo Katzman, Caleb Hawley, Antwaun Stanley (Vulfpeck), Abigail Stauffer, Erin Zindle (the Ragbirds) and has even shared the bill with national acts such as The Spring Standards. His latest single, “The Other Side”, anticipates a new record with an expected release in 2019.
