The company will return to the roots of its first Ypsilanti performance with Big Daddy Shakespeare. Harken back to the bard with another Shakespeare compilation, this time built around a new and unusual theme: parenthood. Big Daddy Shakespeare, adapted and directed by Anna Simmons, is a montage of scenes, sonnets, and excerpts that together form a full-length piece exploring all aspects of what it’s like to be a parent from the perspective of William Shakespeare. As he wrote, “If by chance I talk a little wild, forgive me; I had it from my father.”
