We're bringing a fresh twist to your traditional New Years celebration and we'd love for you to join us. We're bringing you 5 intense days of training, social dancing and social connection to take your dancing to the next level. 

The Michigan Kizomba Fusion Experiment
An intensive series of dance workshops that explores the convergence between connection, improvisation, and performance technique within kizomba and its related genres.
-Sessions will use custom made individual and group exercises specifically developed for fostering development in kizomba and its related genres.
-Top international professionals from various dance disciplines and movement modalities, up-and-coming talent, and other special guests–serve to instruct, moderate and participate in group exercises.
“What is The Michigan Kizomba Fusion Experiment?”. It is a unique partner dance intensive where you will spend a day being challenged physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually by peers from North America. We aim to educate, engage, entertain, empower, inform and inspire!

The Michigan Kizomba Fusion 24-Hour Marathon
Great detail has been devoted to every aspect of this event in order to create a dynamic, multi-sensory experience unlike any other. We're setting the mood with a specifically curated DJ set to keep your body moving all day long. Experience the Chillout Cafe - offering an open place to share and explore, grab some snacks, practice, and play games. Relax, cuddle, get a massage, or simply decompress at our Bliss Lounge. With the Kizomba Olympics, we're bringing summer camp playfulness into lighthearted competition and team games. Enter our 24 hour non-stop journey of Kizomba social dance. 

The Michigan Kizomba Fusion NYE Gala
Put on your gala gear and dress to impress as we're putting together an unforgettable night where you can dance to your hearts content. Glam yourself up and enjoy a full course dinner and dessert before counting down to midnight with 10 hours of social dancing from dusk til dawn. Fantasy meets reality at the Michigan Kizomba Fusion NYE Gala.

Dinner Menu (Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten Free Available):
Cornbread Stuffed Chicken Breasts
Southern Style Cornbread Stuffed in a Chicken Breast and Topped with Chicken Veloute.

Slow Roasted Pot Roast
Tender Beef Pot Roast with Roasted Potatoes, Onions and Carrots in Red Wine and Beef Stock.

Roasted Stuffed Peppers
Roasted Peppers Stuffed with Artichoke Hearts, Feta Cheese, Red Peppers, Garden Vegetables, Rice and Topped with a Tomato Reduction.

Mashed Redskin Potatoes
Smashed Potatoes with Sour Cream, Butter and Milk.

Travel Information:
We recommend flying into DTW (Detroit Metropolitan Airport). The venue (Dance Pavilion, Ypsilanti), is a 20 minute drive away. 
For hotels we recommend the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Mariott Ann Arbor Ypsilanti. For a more budget option we recommend the Comfort Inn and Suites in Ann Arbor on Carpenter Road. Both Lyft and Uber are available in the area.

Additional Notes:
The team of the Michigan Kizomba Fusion Winterfest are strong believers of providing the optimal learning and social dance experience for our attendees. Therefore, as with our last five events, we have a strong policy of waitlisting either leads or follows when we notice an extreme imbalance in the ratio. We then take measures to restore balance and consequently reinstate all sales as active when possible. Generally this rule effects follows disproportionately so you are strongly encouraged to act fast in securing your ticket!
