Mark your calendar for next year, these summer camps fill up fast! While summer activities are top-of-mind, we’re sharing area camps that may be a great fit for your K-12 kids. Find out what each camp offers and how you can register.

Eastside Summer Camps
Eastside Summer Camps are full-day camps specifically designed for Ypsilanti elementary school aged students, bringing affordable creative, educational sessions and field trips. The camp runs for 10 weeks and serves 30 campers each week at two locations. This camp provides breakfast and lunch to all campers. The two locations include:

Ypsilanti Community Center- Eastside Clark Rd

Riverside Arts Center: Art Explorers! Summer Camp
Riverside Arts Center (RAC) holds several week-long summer camps with changing themes intended for ages 6-13. To keep the camp more accessible to students, some camp scholarships are available each year and RAC accepts payment installments with some due at registration. Focusing on hands-on creativity, weekly themes may include:

Engage@EMU: K-12 Camp Programs
Explore a new interest and maybe even a future career in a fun and environment at Eastern Michigan University. A handful of camps are offered each summer for specified age groups, from youth athletic camps to engineering and theater professional pathways. Camps are operated by the Engage@EMU office and registration is open to the public.

YCS Grizzly Learning Camp
If you’re seeking an engaging and entertaining way for your student to continue summer learning, the Grizzy Learning Camp hosted by Ypsilanti Community Schools is a perfect place to start. During camp sessions, students will learn in small groups lead by YCS teachers, explore museums and parks, participate in activities that explore music, science, even superheroes, and more. Camps are offered to PreK - 12th graders and extended school year students.
