Celebrate Self-Love at the Annual Tea Luncheon
/A Gathering of Empowerment, Reflection & Real Connection
Self-love isn’t just a feel-good phrase — it’s a practice. A discipline. A declaration.
The Women Lift Project invites you to the 5th Annual Tea Luncheon Steeped in Phenomenal Self Love — an intentional afternoon designed to help women pause, pour into themselves, and reconnect with their worth in community.
This isn’t just tea and conversation.
It’s restoration.
It’s reflection.
It’s radical self-permission.
Honoring Black History Month
As we gather, we also honor Black History Month — celebrating the strength, brilliance, and resilience of Black women who continue shaping our communities, businesses, families, and futures.
Their legacy reminds us:
Self-love is not selfish.
It is survival.
It is leadership.
It is power.
This year’s luncheon centers the voices, experiences, and leadership of Black women — while welcoming women of all backgrounds who believe in collective growth.
A Space for Genuine Connection
The Annual Tea Luncheon is intentionally designed to feel intimate, welcoming, and safe.
You won’t just attend — you’ll participate.
What makes it powerful:
Intimate seating for real conversation
Guided discussions focused on growth & healing
Storytelling moments that remind us we are not alone
When women share honestly — trust builds.
When trust builds — transformation happens.
Activities That Inspire Growth
This is not passive listening. It’s active reflection.
You’ll experience:
Mindfulness moments to quiet the noise
Journaling prompts to clarify your strengths and vision
Creative exercises like vision board creation to help you see your next season clearly
You won’t leave inspired for a day.
You’ll leave equipped.
Honoring Our 2026 Awardee: Trisché Duckworth
We are proud to honor Trisché Duckworth, Founder & Executive Director of Survivors Speak.
A survivor turned changemaker, Trisché has built a powerful movement advocating for justice, accountability, and healing — centering the voices of Black women and marginalized communities impacted by violence and systemic harm.
Her leadership embodies what this luncheon stands for:
Healing is powerful.
Justice is love in action.
Self-worth changes communities.
Keynote Speaker: Yodit Mesfin Johnson
We’re honored to welcome Yodit Mesfin Johnson as this year’s keynote voice.
A racial and economic justice educator with 25 years of leadership, Yodit is currently cultivating The Alena Collective and writing her forthcoming book, We Are the Ones: Leadership Lessons From the Margins.
Her message will challenge and encourage attendees to:
Rest boldly
Unlearn what diminishes them
Lead with fierce compassion
Reclaim worth as a revolutionary act
Self-love is not passive.
It is transformational leadership.
The Power of Community
The magic doesn’t stop at the event.
Women Lift Project fosters:
Peer mentorship
Continued meetups
Ongoing connection and support
Because growth requires community.
And community builds legacy.
Why This Matters Now
We live in a culture that rewards productivity over presence, achievement over authenticity.
The Tea Luncheon creates space to remember:
Your worth is not earned.
It is inherent.
By addressing societal pressure, internalized criticism, and isolation, this gathering becomes more than an event — it becomes a milestone in your journey.
