DESCRIPTION

The Saline Big Band and Lighthouse Dance Company present the Nutcracker Suite! In 1960, the Duke Ellington Orchestra performed Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, arranger by Billy Strayhorn, for 17-piece big band for the first time. This ballet performance includes music and dance under the direction of Leer Sobie (music director) and Delle Clair (choreographer).

Please join us on December 6th or 7th at the Yellow Barn theater in downtown Ann Arbor, MI for a remarkable twist on a beloved classic with traditional ballet and modern jazz.
